August 2006

Hello All! Babbling two weeks in a row I'm kind of proud of myself. This has been a very busy week, trying to prep for being out of town next week, for my business trip to Disneyland. I leave Wenesday and come back on Sunday. I've never had so many meetings in one week planned! But we also have some park walk time, so it should be a great work week.

Tonight Ron, Liz & I are going down to Port Charlotte to see everyone. I can't believe Liz has been here over two weeks, it's flown by. She's been doing great. It's kind of amazing how easily we slip into the role, it feels so natural like she's always been here. And Ron and I have a much more established eating and sleeping routine than normal. Kids can be a good influence :)

I guess it's short and sweet today. Love you all, hope your having a good week.

July 2006

Wow, it's been awhile huh? I know it's not Friday, but these days you've got to do it when you have the time. Things are good, Liz is here. She got here last Wed (July 19th) and is staying with us until Aug 19th.

Last Friday I took the day off, and Lizzie and I surprised Ron by decorating the apartment and baking him lots of cakes. Including one that looked like a Star Gate. Then we had friends over for our normal Sci-Fi Friday Party, and continued the Birthday Fun. And thanks to everyone for sending Ron Birthday wishes he was very happy
to hear from everyone!
Last Saturday we had a "Princess Day of Fun" with Liz. We started by taking her to Bibbidy Bobbidi Boutique. A little girl beauty salon at Disney, and they did her up like a princess. Then we spent the day at the Magic Kingdom. Here is
a photo of Ron and Lizzie in Tomorrowland. That night we went over to Epcot, to eat at a
restaurant where they have "Princess Dinning". While you eat, all the princesses come around and visit your table. Grandma Charlotte came this week to visit, and she brought Sedona & Celest so they are having lots of fun together. Tonight Ron, Charlotte, and I are taking the girls to Fort Wilderness for an out door movie and roasting marshmallows by the fire. It's nice to know where to find all the free Disney Fun!
Work is going well. I Just pulled something off I am very proud of. I was given a special project to design and create a special pin frame for Liz Boyce (Senior Vice President of Merchandise) to give to Lee Cockerell (Executive Vice President of Walt Disney World who is retiring) at their touch base this morning. It's a small miracle I was able to get this done in less then two weeks. And I hear that the love it, so the buzz around here is good.
The other good work thing, most people have probably already heard. But I'm going on my very first business trip. Aug 9th I'm going to Disneyland for a few days for meetings, and to walk locations. Also we are taking an artist, one of my friends Rachael, and she will be doing a signing there.
So lots of busy things going on here.
I hope all is well! I"m super excited about all that is going on with Mom & Dad. Keep me updated, and know if you need a vacation after moving I have a guest room!

May 2006

Hi All. Okay after not babbling for two weeks, I couldn't miss this week too. So I'm babbling a day early. Happy Thursday to everyone. Tomorrow Ron and & I and a group of friends are going on a weekend trip. I am venturing the furthest north on the east coast I have ever been, South Carolina. We are going to Hilton Head, Disney has a resort there, I've never been so I'm excited.

Last weekend Greg, Colleen, and the kids came to visit. We took them to Magic Kingdom on Saturday, and then to Wilderness Lodge to go swimming on Sunday. It was nice to see them, I hadn't seen them since Christmas. The weekend before Ron's Parents came to visit. They brought some friends, and we took them to EPCOT to see the Flower & Garden Festival. Picture above. So we are keeping very busy.

I'm still working two jobs and that is going well. I still have not heard back about any of my interviews. Crazy I know! My last one was three weeks ago tomorrow! Trying to be patent.

I guess that wraps it up!

March 2006

Wow, What a week we've had! A new member added tot he family, I would like to officially welcome Uriah to the clan. If someone could catch him up on the whole babble thing so I don't have to hold up the class that would be great. But really, I'm so excited for Alex and wish I could be there.

I'm attaching picture you have seen, took, and/or are in. But somehow it was the only pics appropriate for this weeks babble.

The other big news for me this week, is that I'm getting a new boss. My current boss Bryan is getting moved to another area. He was the Product Developer for Pins, and he is going to Home Dec. I have mixed feelings about the move. We've been working together for almost two years, so we have a good working relationship and ease that is sad to be loosing. And he lets me do a lot of development and creative that most people in my role shouldn't really be doing (my job is suppose to be mostly supportive and clerical) But the person coming in has never been a Product Developer, and has strong finance, analytical, number background. So It think it's an opportunity for me to learn a lot in that area, and just look at development at a new angle. Overall I'm excited about the changes.

Enough about me, back to the real news. Congratulations to Alex, Michael & Nathaniel. Our hears are with you, even if we are not...Good luck and enjoy your new and improved family.

First Entry

So Hi, and welcome to my first babble session. So I've had a pretty good week, it was only a 4 day work week so that's a good thing. But I did have to close at Lane Bryant two nights in a row, (Wed & Thurs). It was my first week as Manager there, so I was a little nervous. Wednesday night I had nightmares that I didn't' set the alarm right, and I came in the next day and the store was empty. But when I went in on Thursday everything was fine, and they said I had done great. Thursday night I forgot to print one of the financial reports, so I haven't heard the feedback on that yet. But it was not bad for my first week as a manager, especially since I'm puling double duty with two jobs, and I have the weekend off! Super excited.

Tonight is our weekly Si-Fi Friday Part! No I don't watch Si-Fi, but I have the parties anyways. Each week we pick a different dinner, then assign each person a different ingredient, then we all cook it together. Tonight is Spaghetti and Ron and I are in charge of the meatballs. I'm going to go on Food Network and look for a recipe.

My friend Becki is coming to stay with us for a week, she moves in on Saturday. She had foot surgery and can't drive, so we'll be taking good care of her. I don't really have a lot planned other then that for this weekend. Oh, wait, we are going to a party on Sat night, (We have a big group of friends I call 'the click', I love them, but hey are very clicky) So the click is having a party on Saturday so that should be fun. OH, and on Saturday I have to go to the Disney MGM Studios to return a couple books to their Learning Center, (which is a small library for cast members, there are about 6 of them all over Disney Property) And Sunday is my relax and do laundry day.

So I guess that wraps to up. I hope you guys all have an amazing weekend, and a great week. And I'll talk to you again next Friday for Edition two of Tori's Babble.
