Hello!
It's a Wednesday night and I am just hanging out. I had a yummy dinner that Ron made, I did some reading (I'm totally hooked on a book series called, "The Mortal Instruments" at least I think that is the name :) and now I'm waiting for Ron to finish the show he is watching so we can watch American Idol. A pretty low key night, but my favorite kind!
Lets see, what else is new with me? Over the weekend I watched the movie, "Sunshine Cleaning" which I think came out in 2007. It was a really cute movie. I heart Amy Adams, and I moderately heart Emily Blunt (although I plan to fully heart her after I watch "Young Victoria" which I actually planned on going to over the weekend, but got lazy and stayed home and watched Sunshine Cleaning instead :) Which as I said, was a very well done movie.
I also watched the movie "Royal Deception" which was kind of bad, but much better then expected. I'm on a mission to watch every Christian Bale movie ever made. And he has made some weird low budget films. This one he was about 15 (pre Newsies) and he played a prince who had to avenge his fathers death. It was very low budget, but pretty good considering. This weekend on the Christan Bale list is "Shaft". I'm actually looking forward to this one, and so is Ron!
Okay, so I guess that wraps up my random post for now. Weird movies and work, that is my life this week!
Hope all is well!

New Years Day 2010
Hi There,
It's New Years Day, a time for reflection and future planning. I have noticed that this is the first year I remember hearing so repetitively how the past year sucked, and how happy everyone is that it is over. I do pride my self in my eternal positivity and finding joy in everything. But I must admit I find it rather depressing how happy people are at the passing of time.
I do have to remind myself that my own Christmas Newsletter began with declaring 2009 "The year that should have sucked, but didn't" I find that the hardest thing I have to accept in other people is that they do not have my positive outlook.
So as I reflect on my experiences in 2009 I realize that it is the first time since I was approximately eight years old that I did not document my life in some form.
And it makes me worry for who ever it is that will be making a movie about my life when I am an old old woman, or gone from this world, what will they say about 2009?
In honor of that future person, I find myself starting to babble again. Admittedly my babbles were never super consistent, weeks could go by and I would not send my long boring e-mails to those on my babble list. But I always came back. So even though, gulp, 8 long months have gone by. I am back.
So since last year I was so un-disciplined in my babbles. I am going to make keeping up with my Babble an official New Years Resolution. Which is nice because as I look at my resolution page in my planner, the last two years the lists looked very similar. And I only checked one thing off each list!
Resolutions 2008
Get weight under 200 pounds
Apply for Survivor
Empty CA Storage Unit
Not be so snappy at Ron (check)
Resolutions 2009
Get weight under 200 pounds
Apply for Survivor
Empty CA Storage Unit (check)
Finnish my book
I do have to admit, I am closer then ever to achieving the first thing on both lists, however it still needs to go on 2010.....Survivor I would never survive because we all know how grumpy I am when I don't eat, and lets face it, I cry way too much. I don't want to be that girl that spent the whole show crying! But actually applying is still a goal. So it stays on.....The book will most likely forever be a work in progress, but I am over 100 pages in so that is exciting! However it is still a work in progress, so it stays on.....So here is my list for 2010

Keep up on my babble
So thanks for hanging in with me. Cheers to a grand and amazing 2010, I personally think that everyone deserves it.

Movie Reviews
Movie Reviews - My humble opinion
Knowing - Not at all what I expected, it had some very scary moments! But overall I still enjoyed it. I can't really say more then that with out giving anything away.
17 Again - An absolute MUST SEE!
Observe and Report - Only see if you are a teenage/young 20-something male.
Preview Reviews - My initial reaction
Terminator Salvation - Don't talk during this preview or I will hit you. This preview shows how deep my love runs for Christian Bale, that I am actually excited for a Terminator Movie! But he does look AMAZING in it!
My Sisters Keeper - I cried like a baby, we're talking sobbing during the preview! In my defense I've read the book, and when I finished it I ended up sobbing in the fetal position. I can't wait for the movie! :) What can I say I'm a glutten for punishement.
Earth - Looks like a vast improvement on the True Life Adventure Series of 30 years ago, and those won acadamy awards!
Star Trek - Looks amazing, and Christian Bale isn't even in it!
Land of the Lost - Okay so I'm very confused on this one. Granted I barley remember the TV show. But I watched the entire trailer, and was shocked when the name of the movie came up. Like really? It seems nothing like the show.
Up - Never count Pixar out, that is all I'm going to say...Wall-E anyone?
Angles and Demons - I didn't read the book, and I'm surprised to say this actually looks interesting.
Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs - Really? Again? This is very quickly turning into the Land Before Time.
I love you Beth Cooper - Mixed emotions on this one...I'm a little sad and a little happy that I am no longer the target audience on this type of movie. Okay, happy wins it!
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - Is it July 15th yet??? Cannot wait!
G-Force - I so do not care!

Am I in College Again....?
It is four o'clock on a Friday. I am in my pajamas, and I just finished watching an episode of Quantum leap. Yep, I think I'm officially back in college.
In my defense; Today I have done lots of job searching, called a few contacts, read a really good book, did three loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and of course who could forget kicking Ron's butt in tennis! 4 games to 2! (Although, yesterday he did kick my butt 5 games to 1, but whoes counting?)
So that is what is up with me. Ron is now working, and I'm about to (Yikes) put real clothes on, and go see the Hannah Montana Movie with Theresa.
It is an exciting life I lead.

Welcome to the Babble
So here is the history of the babble...
Way way back in the end of 2005 I discovered My space. I thought it was a really fun way to stay in touch with my family. Since I moved to the other side of the country I wanted to find new and exciting ways to stay in touch. I thought I had found the perfect way to do it....However my family did not share my enthusiasm for the new web sight.
So I decided that if they wouldn't go to the web to see what I was up to, I would rebel and send the update directly to them. And so began my babbles. I would for lack of a better word - babble about what was going on with me, and e-mail it to everyone.
I tried to babble every Friday, which would or would not happen regularly. But more or less I was able to keep up with it.
So here we are a few years later, and I have decided to change my approach, and officially move my babble to the web. I'm going to re-type a few of my original babbles into the sight to give us a starting point, then go forward from here.
So I hope that you all embrace our new medium. Feel free to babble back in the comment section.

August 2006

Hello All! Babbling two weeks in a row I'm kind of proud of myself. This has been a very busy week, trying to prep for being out of town next week, for my business trip to Disneyland. I leave Wenesday and come back on Sunday. I've never had so many meetings in one week planned! But we also have some park walk time, so it should be a great work week.
Tonight Ron, Liz & I are going down to Port Charlotte to see everyone. I can't believe Liz has been here over two weeks, it's flown by. She's been doing great. It's kind of amazing how easily we slip into the role, it feels so natural like she's always been here. And Ron and I have a much more established eating and sleeping routine than normal. Kids can be a good influence :)
I guess it's short and sweet today. Love you all, hope your having a good week.
